The following are examples of Ivan Lloyd's Arabian Horse Art.

Ivan Lloyd's
original oil paintings, showcasing Arabian horses, reflect a level of authenticity drawn from a wealth of experience gained from many years living in North Africa, the Middle East and India where he studied the art and culture of the regions. His work has been featured in many prominent Magazines and Equestrian Publications including Arabian Horse World, Equine Images, Horses in Art, The Fine Arts Magazine and Art of the Horse.

These paintings are dedicated to the pure bred foundation horses established by Lady Anne Blunt, the legendary heoine of the Arabian horse world, and an accomplished artist in her own right. She lived among the Bedouin tribes of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East with her husband Sir Wilfred Blunt and in 1872 the couple became the first Europeans to traverse the isolated mountain terrain and vast impenetrable deserts of the Arabian peninsula.

Lady Anne Blunt established the Crabbet stud on the family's 4,000 acre ancestral estate in England and devoted her life to the preservation of the Egyptian stallions and mares of the Abbas Pasha stud. In 1882 she purchased Sheykh Obeyed a pink house, situauted in a picturesque garden full of orange trees and olive groves, on the outskirts of Cairo. She lived there for the remainer of her life dressed in native costume and speaking only in Arabic. The pedigrees of many Arabian horses can still be traced directly back to Lady Anne Blunt.
